A Peek Into Our Story

The blog is getting a new exciting addition! I will be sharing about my adventures as a new mom! I have dreamt of being a mom for as long as I can remember. I still know the names of the dolls I played house with when I was little! Now, I have to tell you that I am in no way an expert, I am not claiming to know the best way to raise babies, or trying to tell you how to raise your baby. My husband and I are just loving our baby with our whole heart and doing the best we possibly can! I wanted to start blogging about it because it is going by so fast and I want to remember every special moment. If you find something relatable in my stories to use with your baby, great! I want to first tell you a little background about how we got to this magical point in our lives.

My husband and I met and fell in love at Penn State! I am so lucky that I met my soulmate so young and get to be married to my best friend. WE ARE currently living in our 3rd state together! We moved to the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota, after college and had an amazing year of traveling and growing up together. That is where I got my first teaching job and my store, Lessons by The Lake was created. Minnesota is also where we became puppy parents to our adorable Akeley.

Next, we were off to our Maryland adventure! There I had the opportunity to teach fourth grade and second grade. After a few years of our wonderful life together there, we decided to expand our little family! We welcomed our perfect baby boy in June 2019! That is when the rollercoaster of life truly took off to new heights! My husband got a new job that took us back to Pennsylvania near both our of families. FINALLY! We could not be happier to be back to raise our baby near our family and friends. I have been getting my masters in school counseling for the past few years so I am also doing a counseling internship a few days a week to finish my degree! These big changes also provided me with the opportunity to stay home with our little one.
