Takeaways From Halloween Picture Books
We love to share picture books with our students. However, they were all written with a variety of audiences in mind. When choosing a Halloween book for kids, it is important to pre-read the book for age appropriate content!
You know the students in your class best, so use your judgement if a topic or picture is too scary or graphic. Also, take your students’ personal beliefs into account while choosing a story to share.
I always want my students to be feeling happy, entertained, and excited for the holiday at the end of the book. I try to be very conscious to not leave them feeling frightened or worried after we enjoy a book together!
Here are some Halloween books that I enjoy reading with my students!
